Child Wellbeing and Protection Module

Members are reminded that The Scottish FA requires all Registered Referees to complete an online Child Wellbeing module which is available through the referee extranet – in accordance with the SFA Directive issued to all Associations earlier this year and emailed, by the Scottish FA, to every individual member on the 11th March.

Please go the education tab on the extranet and follow the instructions on how to undertake the module ensuring each section is successfully completed.

It should be noted that although you may have completed a similar module as a coach or official of a club, the SFA require all members to participate in this process to ensure their requirements are met in full.

Please be aware that as a consequence of any member failing to complete the Module by 28th May, their membership will be suspended until the Module has been successfully completed. Suspended members are not permitted to officiate at any level of football and are not allowed to attend training or meetings.

If you are proposing to resign / retire at the end of the season, you are still required to complete the Module to allow you to continue to the end of June. Nevertheless, your intention to resign / retire should be notified to me at your earliest convenience.

If you wish to retain a connection with the Association, I would encourage you to adhere to the above.

Should you have any queries, please contact The SFA Referee Dept. on 0141 616 6019 or

Many thanks.
