Scottish Futsal League – Referee Recruitment

Scottish futsal League – Glasgow; REFEREE recruitment

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that originates from South America in the 1930s. It is widely played across the world and is the small sided football format that is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA.  Unlike the UK’s traditional 5-s there is a marked court, played indoors with laws set out by FIFA and played with a size 4 reduced bounce ball.

The Scottish Futsal League run regional leagues across Scotland in partnership with the Scottish FA with governance via Scottish Amateur FA.  Regional leagues run through a midweek with champions competing, from 2016/17, in a national super league to declare a national champion.  The national champion represents Scotland in the UEFA Futsal Cup.

Are you a registered SFA referee?

SFL Glasgow is looking to recruit a number of referees to assist with officiating games in our league currently played on a Tuesday night at Tollcross Swimming centre.

If you’re new to futsal don’t worry….there is a conversion course you can take which only takes a few hours!
