New Zealand Dollar – Steven McLean Appointed Scottish Cup Final Referee

The New Zealand Plaque and Silver Dollar was presented to the Glasgow Referees Association by the New Zealand Referees Association after the Second World War as a token of thanks for the generosity and hospitality shown to their Troops stationed here during the war.

The Plaque and the Dollar is presented to the Referee who is selected to Referee the Scottish Cup Final this Year the Glasgow Association are once again delighted that one of our own members Steven McLean has been chosen to Referee the game this follows on from last year where Glasgow also Refereed the game with William Collum being selected.

Steven will use the Silver Dollar at the Toss of the coin with both captains at the start of the match.

Steven became a referee in 1997 and was promoted to the senior list in 2003. In 2007 he became a category 1 official and is now on the FIFA list.

The rest of the team for the final, Rangers vs Hibernian, on the 21st May is:
